    The challenge

    Yokoy needed an experienced DevOps consultant to help them set up a DevOps and Cloud division. They also planned to migrate the entire application ecosystem from Google Cloud Platform to Microsoft Azure. Yet, the company lacked both expertise and manpower to accomplish the task without sacrificing other critical areas.

    The solution

    MindK arranged a DevOps consultation with the client’s Head of DevOps and Cloud. During the first meeting, we discussed Yokoy’s goals, infrastructure, and staffing challenges. In a few days, we returned with a proposal that included the future state of Yokoy infrastructure and a detailed cloud migration roadmap.

    To accelerate the migration project, we offered several candidates from our pool of in-house DevOps engineers. After just two interviews, Yokoy found the specialist matching their exact requirements.

  • Background for

    The result

    Over the next 6 months, our DevOps engineer worked as a part of the Yokoy team. He re-created all infrastructure using Terraform, automated the client’s pipelines, and introduced best practices for infrastructure, deployment, and security.

    Thanks to extra knowledge and workforce from MindK, Yokoy had more time to focus on other priorities, such as security. Once we reached the desired results, our engineer transferred knowledge and handed the project off to the client’s internal team.
